Since its establishment in 2021, Last Mile Care Pvt Ltd (LMC) has been dedicated to serving the healthcare needs of vulnerable populations across the country through the provision of standardized healthcare facilities.

In pursuit of this noble vision, Ritesh Agarwal, the Founder of OYO, has been a steadfast supporter of LMC. Under his guidance, LMC initiated a transformative endeavor in the remote Tandipur district of Rayagada, located in the tribal areas of Odisha. With only 428 families residing in this far-flung locale and the nearest healthcare facility situated 20 km away, the community faced challenges relying on non-medical health practitioners. This not only posed an imminent risk of mishandling but also had broader economic implications, particularly for the daily wage workers who formed a significant portion of the local workforce.

Undeterred by the challenges, LMC took on the mission of providing standardized healthcare facilities to Tandipur village and its neighboring areas. In just 13 months of operations and with the dedicated efforts of LMC and OYOCARE CSR, we successfully extended our reach to 17 villages, catering to almost 2,000 families. During this time, we facilitated over 3,600 registrations and conducted 600 diagnostic tests, making a significant impact on the health and well-being of the communities we served.

Building on this success and guided by the same visionary commitment, LMC, supported by the Ritesh Agarwal Family, is proud to announce the transformation of the initial 250 sq ft. primary health center in Rayagada into a state-of-the-art, 1,500 sq ft. multi-specialty healthcare center. This upgraded facility will now offer a range of specialized services, including eye care, dialysis, cutting-edge diagnostic facilities, and access to multiple specialty care doctors. Our aim is to enhance the healthcare ecosystem throughout the district through strategic partnerships and the establishment of a sustainable healthcare delivery system that ensures the continuum of care.

Looking ahead, the LMC team is actively planning to scale up its operations across the entire state of Odisha. The vision includes setting up 10 such units in Koraput, Rayagada, and nearby districts, with a specific focus on serving the Blue Collar Workforce along with vulnerable populations in the vicinity. This expansion aligns with our commitment to making quality healthcare accessible to all, irrespective of geographical barriers.
